Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 10, 2007 -- WIRED Magazine's annual WIRED NextFest kicks off in Los Angeles on Thursday morning, bringing the future of entertainment, transportation, health, robotics, energy and sustainability, security, communications and more to the LA Convention Center. WIRED NextFest, open to the public September 14-16, is a unique world's fair-style event that showcases the people, ideas and technologies that will change our world in the coming years. Hitachi is the presenting sponsor of WIRED NextFest 2007.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will help open the festivities with a speech to elementary through high school students in attendance for the event's Education Day. Also on hand will be the entire Endeavour STS-118 space shuttle crew.
